Executive Summary Statement

Currently, over four hundred ninety-two schools in Arizona are underperforming.
Thirty-eight of
those underperforming schools are located in school districts within the Tucson area.

The sole purpose of Heaven’s M.A.G.I.C. is to incorporate Service-Learning,
the U.T.O.P.I.A
Project and Theresa’s Fund Loves Heaven’s M.A.G.I.C. chapters
 in the public, private, and
charter school systems.
The project can be duplicated in any integrated community with
resources, time and energy.

Making a Difference: The U.T.O.P.I.A Project;

Creating an Understanding towards the needs of others, Teachable moments in real world scenarios, Objectives to accomplish educational goals, Participation, teamwork and camaraderie, Instruction and leadership opportunities, and Assessment of knowledge that is valid and reliable with Service-Learning, Portfolio Based Assessment, Knowledge-Creating Schools and Authentic Professional Development for Teacher’s and Students in the Twenty-first Century.

The expenses of Heaven’s M.A.G.I.C. and the Theresa’s Fund Loves Heaven’s M.A.G.I.C. Project are reduced by utilizing the existing infrastructures, schools, and manpower; teachers that are hired within the school system to lead the chapters for a $5,000 annual bonus.

Funding is secured for those chapters through individual donations or endowments and the interest they generate to create $5,000 annually. The individuals that provide those donations or endowments are honored by displaying their photo and biography in the classroom of chapter they are sponsoring or they also have the option to remain anonymous.

Each chapter shall have a minimum of 25-30 children actively participating in Service-Learning Projects throughout their community. The project is capable of serving children between the ages of preschool and twelfth grade. Each chapter is encouraged to raise
funds to sustain their chapter’s needs for supplies in a variety of ways.

The Theresa’s Fund Loves Heaven’s M.A.G.I.C. project seeks to integrate Capitalism-
BIG Businesses, non-profit organizations that support education, at risk youth, and civic service, Universities, and the Federal Government. It provides a continuous cyclical channeling of resources, to time and energy towards a reciprocal system of service to communities.

The project is measured through a longitudinal cohort study and data kept by the individual chapters which contain academic data from school districts, portfolios, photographs,
Microsoft Word documents, Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations of their accomplished projects within the community.

Heaven's M.A.G.I.C. Mission Statement We nurture children’s potential, enthusiasm, and dedication as they contribute towards making a difference in their community.
